“Dobrina” is a documentary film by Anton Schnitter that captures the recording process of the Bulgarian band TDK. Our team played a pivotal role in managing the logistics, production, post-production, and press coverage for the movie.
The film follows eleven individuals over two weeks in a remote village’s cultural center—what Bulgarian media might describe (if they paid attention to such events) as “a group of junkies playing metal music in a village.” It’s a vivid, sometimes absurd narrative, with standout moments such as a demonstration of salad-making, a Canadian producer’s unexpected encounter with a Bulgarian folk tradition, the impromptu adoption of a cat, and a midnight escapade into a medieval church.
“Dobrina” premiered in four cities across Bulgaria: Varna, Burgas, Plovdiv, and Sofia. However, due to the constraints of the pandemic, the main premiere was held online via a specially designed pay-per-view platform, which also featured a recorded live concert by TDK.
